Sautter Lift Components’ RF Series is designed to reliably prevent the lift car or the counterweight from falling by means of its robust roller locking mechanism. Its compact size makes it ideal for use in freight lifts, and storage and retrieval machines up to automatic high bay warehouses.
Installation and operational benefits
The compact size of the single-sided acting safety gear makes mounting of the RF roller safety gear easy and straightforward. In operation, the safety gear is triggered by means of an overspeed governor or slackrope device. If the defined triggering speed is exceeded, the RF blocks the system by means of the safety gear roller, thus ensuring an immediate stop.
All SLC braking devices are type-tested according to the Lift Directive 2014/33/EU.
Application Area
The RF series covers a wide choice of high-performance quality manufactured safety gears for a wide range of loads and railhead widths. Sautter Lift Components’ RF Series comply with DIN EN81-20 European Standards, for use with slow-moving lifts with nominal speeds up to 0.63m/s and counterweights or counterbalancing weights up to max. 1m/s. Safety gears on counterweights or counterbalancing weights are required if there are accessible spaces below the shaft (EN81-20:5.2.5.4).
The different variants of the RF series are particularly suitable for mounting on stacker cranes. Safety gears type-tested by the manufacturer in accordance with EN 81-50:2020, such as the RF series from Sautter, can be subjected to a simplified test in accordance with EN 528:2021 – 5.1.3.
The RF series is suitable for use with lifts and conveyor technology for loads up to 14,000kg. The roller safety gears according to DIN EN 81-20:2020 and DIN EN 528:2021 are available in 6 different designs.
